Hello, dear reader!
This newsletter is my space to share the ups, downs, and all the unpredictable twists in between as I navigate my writing journey. More and more, it’s becoming the place where I share my fiction and humorous essays—because why should life be serious all the time?
I'm Simone Domenico Casadei Bernardi (but you can call me Simon, as most do). I wear many hats: reader, lawyer, business owner, and wannabe writer. I’m also a proud self-publisher, blind-searching my way through the world of indie books.
I live in Tallinn, Estonia, with my husband and our dog, Pippa. We move quite a bit, but for now, our dishwasher is in Tallinn, so we call it home.
What You’ll Find Here
As a clueless writer, my newsletter changes shape now and then. Here’s what you can usually expect:
Tuesdays: Expect a weekly update on my writing journey. It’s like watching someone trip, fall, and somehow one day land a publishing deal, all in real-time.
Thursdays: You’ll benefit from my award-deserving funny essays under the section “Tales from the Absurd”.
Every Other Saturday: I’ll treat you to some short crime fiction. Hey, this is what I love to write. This section is called “Shadow Files”.
Alternate Saturdays: You’ll get a peek into the Diary of a Detective Disaster—the notes of a detective who’s more focused on plotting novels than solving murders. Think Sherlock Holmes, but with writer’s block.
What Do They Think About This Newsletter?
Even though this newsletter is still in its early days, I'm very proud of the feedback I’ve received. But don’t just take my word for it—judge for yourself!
Why Should You Subscribe?
Because you deserve a newsletter that’s equal parts funny and mysterious! Whether you enjoy laughing at life’s absurdities or getting lost in crime stories, you’ll find something here for you. Plus, who doesn’t want a front-row seat to a clueless writer’s creative chaos?
Why Should You Become a Paid Subscriber?
Honestly, you shouldn’t! This newsletter is free, and it will always be free. There’s no hidden content behind a paywall. So, resist the urge to upgrade, please.
Notes
I also occasionally write Notes here—sporadic, yes, but full of surprises. Consider following if you want to see what pops up next!
